Your Library

MeBookmark stores imported bookmark text, titles, source links, and other content you choose to save. The service also stores a random installation identifier and a secret Library credential. These let the app retrieve and manage your Library. You do not need to provide your name, email, or phone number to create a Library.

The iPhone app keeps a local copy of your Saves. The Library recovery key grants access to the server Library. Keep it private. The web Library stores its credential in a session cookie. The website stores your theme preference on your device.

Your X connection

You sign in to X through the app's browser. X stores its session cookies on your iPhone. The phone uses that session to request your bookmarks directly from X. MeBookmark does not send your X session cookies or password to its server.

The app sends imported bookmark content and source links to your MeBookmark Library. Disconnect X removes the app's X session on that iPhone. It does not delete content you already imported. X applies its own privacy policy when you use its service.

Meaning search and your permission

Before your first meaning search, the app asks permission to send your search description and saved text to Anthropic. Anthropic processes that text to identify relevant Saves and return supporting excerpts. Saved text can contain personal information.

The provider request excludes your Library credential and separate media and source link fields. Links that appear inside saved text can still be included. The app also offers exact word search, which runs on your iPhone without sending a search to Anthropic.

We store the date, an attempt identifier, and a Library reference to enforce search limits. This usage record does not store the search description. Failed provider attempts count toward the limit. Anthropic's handling of submitted material is governed by its commercial terms and applicable data processing terms.

Website and other service features

The separate web Library offers related word search. That action sends your search description to Anthropic to suggest words. It does not send your Saves in that request. If you choose text or image extraction in the web service, the material you submit is sent to Anthropic for that operation.

If you have a separate web subscription, Stripe processes your payment and billing details. MeBookmark stores the billing references and plan status needed to manage access. The free iPhone 1.0 release does not require an Apple subscription.

Measurement and service operation

Public product pages count visits and access requests. Events contain only the page, button position, and a broad source category such as X, search, or direct. These events send no Library credential, cookie, visitor identifier, search description, or referring URL. We do not use advertising trackers.

Our hosting and storage providers process the requests needed to operate the service. Technical request information can include an IP address. If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you include. Do not send passwords, X session cookies, or your Library recovery key.

Your choices and deletion

You can delete individual Saves or delete the whole server Library through the app's account controls. Library deletion removes its active stored content and access credentials. Uninstalling the app, disconnecting X, or returning to your Guest Library does not delete a server Library. Returning to Guest changes the active Library on this iPhone. Other installations keep their access.

We retain Library content until it is deleted. Service providers may retain operational or billing records under their own policies and legal obligations. This policy does not promise a specific backup retention period.

Use your recovery key to recover a Library. We cannot recover access if you lose the key and all devices with access. You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal data through support. We need to verify ownership before disclosing or changing private data.
